It's great to be a grandmother!

I am really excited that our family will be having two more grandchildren this year to add to the loved bunch! Each one is unique and special. Of course, before you have grandchildren you have to have children. I have six children and three daughters-in-law and one son-in-law and a son getting ready to marry and give me another daughter-in-law. Now what could be more important than that in life, then the continuation of the family and watching it grow. Each one is a welcome addition to our family and I am pleased to be part of their lives.

When my husband and I count our blessings we have to put our family at the top of the list. It’s really all about family anyway. When we die, we take nothing with us of a material nature. It all stays behind, but our family that's different! We are meant to be eternal in nature and while death claims our bodies for a short time, our spirits never die and will be reunited with our bodies on resurrection day. I believe that Christ who died for us at Calvary lives and was resurrected and will come in his glory to this earth again and we will be with our families that have gone before and with those who will come after us. I believe he ministers to us today through a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I am grateful for the guidance I have received in raising my children and living my life. Every single person ever to come to this earth is created in the image of God. Every soul is important to him. If there is one message the world needs today it is that we are not here by accident, but created in the heavens above in spirit, the literal spirit children of divine parentage, and God is the father of our spirits.

We have a bright future if we will reach for it! We can choose to live in such a way as to merit the blessings of heaven. We can help our neighbor and reach out to those with less advantages and give them a hand up! So, today I count my blessings of family and look forward to sharing my life with them forever!
